Unattended Card Payment Controller

Unattended Card Payment Controller next to a Worldline Ingenico Self POS terminal, with its high-brightness outdoor display for unattended card payments

Unattended Card Payment Controller

The Unattended Card Payment Controller is a compact hardware-and-software module that turns Worldline Ingenico Self / Unattended POS terminals into a simple, developer-friendly payment endpoint for vending machines, kiosks, car washes, and any self-service installation. Internally it implements Ingenico's native unattended terminal protocol — handling the full transaction handshake, status messages, and EMV flow — and exposes all of it through a clean, easy-to-use REST API, so integrators can trigger a card payment with a single request instead of implementing the low-level protocol themselves.

Every payment is fully event-driven: start a transaction over REST and the controller reports each step back through callbacks and webhooks — card presented, approved, declined, cancelled, or timed out — so the host machine always knows the exact state without polling. The unit can be securely accessed and managed remotely for configuration, monitoring, diagnostics, and firmware updates, removing most on-site service visits. It ships with a high-brightness display that stays clearly readable in direct sunlight for reliable outdoor use, and is built to run unattended around the clock.
