MomentoSnap is an unattended, weatherproof outdoor photo booth that prints and shares photos with no staff on site. await8 was the R&D and manufacturing partner behind it — we designed and built the machine end to end: the sealed outdoor chassis, the in-house electronics, the camera and printer integration, the touchscreen software, payments, fiscalization and the management dashboard.

MomentoSnap operates as a self-service photo kiosk at tourist attractions, viewpoints, beaches, restaurants and hotels — running 24/7 without an attendant. The brand needed a machine that could survive a beach in summer and a mountain viewpoint in winter, take payments on its own, and be managed remotely across a growing fleet.
await8 took the concept from idea to a deployable, revenue-generating machine — handling the mechanical design, the electronics, the peripheral integration and all of the software.
The weatherproof chassis
We designed and manufactured a sealed enclosure rated for year-round outdoor use — protected against rain, snow and dust, with climate-managed internals so the camera, printer and electronics stay within operating temperature from −20 °C in winter to +50 °C in direct summer sun. A high-brightness display keeps the interface readable in full sunlight.
In-house electronics and peripherals
The electrical engineering was done in-house. We integrated and synchronised the camera and a DNP dye-sublimation printer, the touchscreen, lighting and the payment hardware into one reliable system — so a guest taps the screen and gets a glossy, water-resistant 4×6 print in under 15 seconds.
The capture and sharing software
We built the on-machine application that drives the whole experience: package selection, live capture, AI background replacement (strip the background or drop in a curated scene), a branded photo signature, and instant digital delivery — every print carries a unique QR code that opens the high-resolution copy in the guest's browser, with no app or sign-up.
Payments and fiscalization
MomentoSnap accepts both cash and cashless payments through integrated providers Nayax and Monri — card, contactless and mobile wallets. Croatian fiscalization is built in, so every transaction is reported and compliant from the first print.
Remote management and dashboard
Because the fleet runs unattended across two countries, we built remote management and a real-time dashboard: monitor each booth's status, track prints and revenue, pull analytics per location, and diagnose or update machines over the air — keeping site visits to a minimum.
